Scope of Work

Role: Designer 
Responsibilities: Collaborating with stakeholders at FSC, I designed and implemented engaging graphics for social media posts, ensuring they aligned with strategic goals and audience engagement. I also supported related events and messaging by creating ancillary graphic materials as needed to maintain a cohesive visual presence.

Objectives

As part of a department-wide initiative to enhance social media engagement, I collaborated with stakeholders at Farmingdale State College to develop visually compelling content that resonated with the campus community and prospective students. By transforming visuals into dynamic, engaging graphics and leveraging platform-specific features, I helped strengthen the institution’s identity and generate greater interest in its programs and events.

Impact:

Through the strategic use of compelling, custom-designed graphics tailored to each event or initiative, our social media engagement has increased substantially. Followers, likes, and shares have grown significantly, amplifying the institution’s digital presence. Additionally, event attendance has surged as visually engaging content captured audience interest and encouraged participation. Through research, we identified the most compelling events for the community, allowing us to refine our approach, maximize engagement, and generate excitement for future events with similar appeal.

What I learned:

I discovered the impact of visually compelling content in boosting social engagement and event attendance.
